OK, I downloaded DirectX 7.0 SDK, unzipped it, and it gave me an ''include'' folder and a ''lib'' folder. So do I take all the files in these and add to my VC++ 6.0 ''include'' and ''lib'' folders? Or should I just put the new folders inside their VC counterparts? Or am I just too ignorant and should delete it?

well, you can tell MSVC++ where to look for the library and header files. just goto Tools->Options->Directories

This may sound dumb Newbie-O-Rama, but make sure you put the new includes and libs at the top of list so you don''t get the older ones. This will make the debuger very mad at you if you don''t. Can we all say 5,000 errors?

Ecko is right, if you don''t include them at the top you get MUCHO errors. It''s because Visual C++ comes with directx, but it is most likely (it is) an older version...so if you don''t put them at the top then you will include the older version. It''s usually not pretty!
