I am building a side scroller game, similiar to Castlevania symphony of night, and I would like to know what API to use. SOmeone suggested to Use SDL.\ Does anyone know where I can get some source samples with the Visual C++ SDL? Thanks for help to Code, or Not To Code

Don't know if you already had a look at the SDL homepage which provides a list of supporting applications. (Games,Demos,Apps and Libs). Sourcecode should be found there. As far as I remember the source code is in plain C so should be no problem to compile with any compiler.

Btw are not some examples within the SDL itself ? Or were they merely testapps ?

Err. Forgot to provide a URL if neccessary:

www.libsdl.org if you didn't know

There is some info with it.. not a whole lot though.. the SDL does seem a bit limited as to what it can do. I guess it just means I have to get off my lazy butt and code them in myself. Does anyone know if fastgraph for windows is even worth investigating?
