Well, since my hours at my current job have plummeted to a sheer nothing I have some free time to compose for some more projects...and hopefully ones that benefit me in some way. Anyway, I am up for composing if you compensate some how other than royalties and I don't charge very much because the few times I was offered money I never DID get payed. Anyway, you pick the price and I'll negotiate with you(which will more than likely be a comment like "That Works to me...") Some samples of my latest tunes... Celtic.mp3 The Desert Blues (Trumpet Solo courtesy of Tyler Mire) Walking In The Mud (Trumpet Solo courtesy of Sam Costilow) Anyway, I can do multiple formats including the most common ones: MIDI, MP3, OGG, MOD, XM, S3M, IT, etc. For more demoes of my music check out my Demo Page. If you are interested please contact me at CBlockDis@aol.com, dihmmm@hotmail.com, or just IM me at CBlockDis on AIM. Peace, Zack

Zack,

Just recognized your website from your post, I downloaded all 29 of your earlier demos back in April(just grabbed #30), and have enjoyed listening to them on and off as I'm programming; very nice work. You're definitely one of the more hard working and talented musicians that roams this board!

It's amazing how your music has progressed from your earlier demos to the newer songs... IMPRESSIVE.

Anyways, I'm not really looking for any tunes now, but will definitely keep you in mind for the future... It would definitely be worth paying you for.

Maybe you would like to join our team? We have already a composer from japan, but maybe you would like to make some extra songs and get noticed? The game will be published this year (our agent discuss with some publishers interresting about our work).

We can discuss about it if you want. My MSN is blossomsoft@hotmail.com

or simply post on our forum or send email to info@blossomsoft.com

Just posting to say your music is very good.

I am replying for two reasons.

1) I would like to link to your demo page thru Ausukusa Rhythym, as your demos clearly reflect the raw individual talent I desire. Because you have so many demo's, I would be linking to your demo page with a simple banner, and not the crude format I am currently using.

2) From what I gather in your post, you are looking for pay up front for your work. Unfortunately I can not offer you that. What I can offer you, is a position as a SGD at Ausukusa, which makes 3% of the remaining profits of any title released using your individual works.

Money is not the driving aspect of Ausukusa. I only present it in this manner, as you have expressly stated that you have been stiffed before, and I wanted to present you with real numbers being used in my business model. Ausukusa will be launching into a company in 2006.

If this catches your attention, then please feel free to register on my forums or contact me via MSN/email (Pheonixx1980@hotmail.com)

Impressive stuff, dude! Too bad we're an open source project and already have our share of music contributors (they aren't as good as you, though 8))

What do you use to make your music? Some pieces sound as if entirely played by real persons (no sample libraries or anything). Maybe the VSL or some other major, incredibly expensive sample lib?

Well, some of them ARE played by real instruments. :D I hate using samples and try to use as much live instrumentation as I can and mix it in with the samples I use from time to time. Say for example...

http://zackparrish.com/Demo%2032.mp3 <---this song consists of...

Real Instruments = Trumpet, Flute, Acoustic Guitar(Nylon), Acoustic Guitar(Steel), Doumbek(drums), Shaker(plastic subway bag...had to improvise).

Sampled Instruments = Marimba, Xylophone, String Ensemble

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. :)

Peace,
Zack
