Hi, I have a number of digital photos I've taken (~6000), and most of the earlier ones are saved in a very random manner. I was wondering if anyone here knew of good software that would read a directory, check each file's creation date and then make directories (eg: 12-20-2002) and copy the image files into their respective directories. I've searched around a bit but almost everything I find renames files (but doesn't move them), or only organizes them in a database, not actually on the hard drive. Thanks ahead of time for any help whatsoever.

Doesn't sound like it'd be difficult to write yourself. Just enumerate files (on Windows look at the FindFirstFile and related functions) and copy to a path you generate. Use GetFileAttributesEx to get file creation time, and FileTimeToSystemTime to convert to a structure with year, month, day fields.

You could probably write a script to accomplish the same thing (Python, Perl, etc.)
