I have been doing some work on VB 6.0 and a guy asked me to work on some VB.Net projects. How different is VB.net from VB 6.0? Is it just the .Net architecture or is the language a lot different as well? Thanks

The language is different. However, IMO, it's not that hard to get used to if you already know how to use VB 6, especially if you're working with an existing project and not spinning something from scratch.

There have been a lot of improvements to the language, particularly in its object oriented capabilities. It also performs extremely well, has an impressive library of really cool stuff, and has all of the NET framework, which is incredibly awesome.

Unfortunately, the language is becoming staggeringly verbose at this point, but hey, it is VB, after all.

It's not going to be a real shock changing from 6 to NET. NET just does more, and does it better. Pay attention to MSDN docs though, as there are subtle changes just waiting to bite you in the ass.
