Customizable Compiler?

hi.... Does anyone know any compiler (etc c/c++), which is customizable and open source? So far I downloaded open watcom source code and now I'm try to reprogram or customize it............. Thanks....

Let's see, GCC is open source. [looksaround]

The GCC toolset is extremely customizable, in addition to gcc and g++ there are Objective-C,Java,Fortran, and Pascal (iirc) backends. If your project is serious enough to call for that kind of support, that would be your best option. Of course, this is going to be a ton of work, and may be a lot more than you actually need to do.
