My ISP blocks specific ports to prevent me from running a server on my computer (i run an apache). To get around this, i setup an account with no-ip.com. That worked to get around the port problem, but now my home network prevents users from accessing my server. I have a Linksys (i think thats how its spelled) wireless network with WEP enabled. When the user attempts to access my server through my domain name, it prompts them with a login screen to access my home network. Is there any way that i can keep WEP enabled and allow seamless access to my server?

Does your server run on port 8080? If it does, go to the configuration panel of your router, and disable remote administration over the internet.

Most routers allow you to do administration over the web on port 8080. This is however, insecure. Router passwords are often simple, easy to defeat. It's recommended that you disable the feature so that your router forwards any traffic on port 8080 to the server, instead of handling itself.

If your server runs on port 80, then your router is configured pretty weird.

interesting, ill try that out when i get home. The only thing that i forsee as a possable problem is this:
How do i get the incoming connection, assuming it is at 8080, to contact my computer as opposed another computer on the network?

Thanks for the reply.
