I need some literature for game physics development. I wanna make a game with realistic physics like in Carmageddon. And I want to ask: what "theory" is the best: maybe Jacobeans? Or... tell me Or there is some site with physics articles, forums, sourches? Help me

Yeah, you can find lots of stuff on a site called www.gamedev.net. Articles are hidden away in an area confusingly called "Articles".

LOL! Perhaps you meant Jacobian?

Anyway, for a starter in physics check out Chris Hecker's articles.
"Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The nly verdict is vengeance; a vendett o

Hey Anton,

There are a couple of books out there, but I wouldn't recommend the one by David Bourg (due to negative feedback here). You might consider the one by David Eberly, which you can read about on his website, here:

Magic Software

David Baraff (do a google search) has written some classic papers on constraint solving for real-time physics.

Chris Hecker wrote some introductory articles, available at his website, Definition Six

Jeff Lander has also written articles, for Game Developer Magazine (see Gamasutra) and the Game Developer's Conference (see Game Developer Conference Companion Page @ Darwin3D.com).

There's stuff at Gamasutra by folks other than Lander that is pretty good.

Jos Stam (again, google search) has done quite a bit of work in real-time fluids that is fast enough for games, if you're intersted in that.

Hope that helps!

Most of the source code on there is freely available but all the physics code is only available to those who have brought Dave Eberly's book.

Yes. It was the book that I was suggesting. The source code is a benefit when you buy the book.
