multi-threaded C-runtime library hell!

When I compile without setting the multi-threaded option, it doesn't find _beginthreadex, but when I add that option, I'm drowned in LNK2005 errors. LNK2005 possible causes include "accidentally linking with both the single-threaded and multithreaded libraries." But the library I'm linking in is multi-threaded! What am I supposed to do!?

Is this a multi project solution? if that's the case all projects must be set to multithreaded or you'll get that error.

Yes, and yes: they're all multithreaded. I only got it to compile when I used a complete hack. That was by zombifying one of the existing sample projects in the solution of the library I'm using (as in, removing all it's files and adding mine). I went through all the options and made sure they were the same as my own project (the one that gives me all the linking errors), but to no avail.

Is there perhaps a way of copying verbatum the settings of one project into another? For all it's strengths, VS really gets on nerves when it comes to things like this...
