math program

Most good word processors will have equation editors. If you have MS Word, you can use that. If you don't, you can get Open Office (openoffice.org I think). It is an ms office like group of programs that does the same things.

Your post isn't exactly specific enough to determine what it is you'll be doing with this software, but MathType is what my high school calculus teacher always used, and I must say, it produced results quickly, and they were formatted perfectly. She said it was pretty easy to work with too.

I didn't bother to read enough of it to see if it costs anything, or if there's a freeware version.
