It seems that GDNet's parser has trouble dealing with HTML links to addresses with >'s in the URL. An example being: http://www.flsenate.gov/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=Ch0101/SEC62.HTM&Title=->2000->Ch0101->Section%2062 Edit this message to view the source for the link below. is the result my linking to the site.

I didn't know those were legal characters for http requests. Makes sense - http isn't for html alone. What happens if you escape the characters? I'm too lazy to find out what the escape sequence is for > and <.

Isn't that just HTMLs problem?

I believe it is a problem with the GDNet parser as opposed to HTML because this site was able to link to the address I gave above, without problem. They also used the actual characters as opposed to their ASCII values.

RFC 1738, a document that contains the http url specification, denotes the < and > as unsafe characters in http urls. If you wish to use them in a valid url, you must escape them.
