Sun''s Java 2 SDK

The only problem is that you''ll need to setup environment variables for it to work (all of the tools are command-line based).

go to java.sun.com they have the free jdk (java development kit)itd the only java compiler that is standard and no added features like microsoft did.

I downloaded J2SE 3 or whatever it is and I can''t figure out how to use it. It''s not like Borland or anything, there is no, what''s the word, IDE? I would use it if I knew how, but I don''t know how. I tried to download the documentation (30megs, zip format) but when I tried to unzip it, it said something about an error while unzipping, so I can''t get the docs.
