Odd little question, I don't know much about 3D theory and so I'm reading up on it. I can't seem to find an answer to this however: Assume a 128x128 texture is used. Does viewing a 1x1 quad at 10 units away make a difference compared to viewing a 10x10 quad at 100 units away?

If I get what you're talking about... there are two things relating to this that video cards are limited by.. geometry throughput and fill-rate. Here, the 10x10 is taking a higher toll on the geometry throughput than the 1x1... but both are taking an equal toll on the fill-rate. I may be wrong..

You are :) assuming the two quads are the same size on screen, and both have 4 vertices, the performance will be exactly the same.
