Using an example project from CppUnit I got the unit testing to run after I compile and link. It spits out the results in the build window at the bottom of VC++. But I have no idea why it works. Here is what I put into the Post-Build Step... $(TargetPath) I don't like doing something without knowing what it is. I've never done anything from the command line with VC++. What kind of operator is this. I looked for it in the docs, but found nothing... Thanks Tim

$(TargetPath) expands to the full path to the output executable/library from your project, ie C:\foo\bar\Debug\bar.exe

In VC++7.x, the dialogs where you can insert macros like this also have a dialog that lists the available macros and what they expand to in the current configuration. I don't know if VC++6 has an equivalent dialog.

No, it does not have one. I would love to be using VC++ 7.0, but they don't use it work. Thanks you very much. I got it working without using the $(TargetPath), which I like much better.
