Finding texture resources

Hey! I've been looking for textures for my terrain engine. I've found this very good link. However, these textures view the ground from about 1 meter height, but I'd like to be able to "fly" several kilometers above the ground in my program, so the near-ground textures are a bad choice. Does anyone know a good (free) site for tiling textures of earth/mars viewed from 100m-50km? Something like corn-fields, cities, mountains and so on.
Try the Earth Explorer.

Good luck,
Pat

Thanks, nice site, although the step from satellite images to tiling textures is quite far for me... but at least I can find out how it SHOULD look. That's going to be a great help.

Any other stuff?
have you tried searching for "textures" on emule?

Hmmm, don't laugh, but I've never used emule, napster, morpheus or anything like that (but yes, I do have a mobile phone;-). I'll give it a try...
lol...

well...
i had found over 800mbs of textures using emule...
and about 1.5gb of models...

good luck

Thanks.
There are definitely some textures I can use, although it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

P.S.: The Qbranch link seems to be broken.
Goog, glad some of it is helpful. The Qbranch one is broken due to the way the forum has auto-formatted it, here's a cut 'n' paste version: http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/qbranch/tutorials/metals.shtml

Have fun ;)
