So I'm sitting here, in my garden, in the dark, having managed to lock myself out of my house (the nearest key not actually in my house being 20 miles away), but I'm still able to post to gamedev using my laptop and wireless router. It just better not rain...

About this time it would be great to have a voice activated lock or one that is unlockable with a keycode

There is an easy way around this. Equip your lockpicks and click the door. Or maybe you should equip a crow bar and smash the window. If you go for the window, remember to crouch when you jump or you will bang your head and lose HP

He's gotta roll for the picking and hope the lock doesn't save against it.

I don't know. It's got too dark to see them. I just saw a frog though, which was interesting.

Or even an internet activated lock. Why didn't I think of that before?

The annoying thing is I actually discovered a spare back door key, but I can't open the door with it because there's a key in the other side.

While that would be amusing, I think my wife would cut my bollocks off if I did that. I think I'll just wait for my friend to arrive with the key :-), which hopefully will be in the next hour or two. And failing that, does anyone know how to make a tent out of just a table, a plastic sheet, and some bricks? :)

Wait!

Who's that hiding in the bushes?

Does he have an axe?

What!? You don't have the McGyver survival guide? Shame on you.

Anyway, internet locks sound cool, quick, patent it before anyone else :-P

Oh this is an easy one!!!!!

First you climb on the table and shout, "I'm king of the world." Next you use the bricks to smash a window. Once inside you go get your tent in your camping gear and set it up outside. The plastic is finally used to suffocate your friend when they bring the key.

Imagine the security bulletins featuring those as the centerpiece.

Benjamin, my dad once unlocked our front door using a credit card and a lot of door jiggling. Since you have internet maybe you could google the method?

My credit card is in the house :(

I have to say, the brick idea is growing on me. Any better suggestions before I break my house?
