me again: Does anyone know where I can get win32 oriented ASM code for a keyboard handler? I want to grab whether a key has been pressed, before windows does. Either that or does anyone know how to use the Event Functions from the SDL API? the examples they have are crap, and the help files really dont explain jack schmidt....... thanks!!! to Code, or Not To Code

Exclusive mode DirectInput keyboard access? If you have the keyboard acquired in exclusive mode, windows doesn''t get any of the keyboard messages .

You may hook the keyboard messages. That means if the user press a key the message will first go trough your hook function and then will be posted to application which has focus. This way you may block the user''s keyboard if you want.

I am using SDL to set up the window. Unfortunately it is encapsulated and I cant get access to the Hwnd of the current ( and only ) window in the app

Does anyone know who to do that ??? is there a windows VC++ function that I can get to return the Current HWND????? I have been workign on this ONE part for 2 weeks and i cant get anywhere on it! i am ripping my hair out!
