The OpenAl32.lib exist in my diretory, and I have 5.0 Gb on my HD When I try to complile de OpenAl32.lib by myself this is a message: Linking... Creating library Debug/OpenAL32.lib and object Debug/OpenAL32.exp LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "LIBCD" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library So, that''s my problem Could someone help me? Methinks it''s a corrupted file. Try downloading it again, see if that helps. That''s the only thing I can think of that would be wrong if it''s telling you those two things...

I guarantee you its becoz it won''t work with VC5.0, only VC6.0

I had the IDENTICAL error message trying to use the DSV library under VC5.0, and it went away when i upgraded to VC6

Now people told me that they had it running under VC5, but no amount of tweaking/changing settings/re downloading/copying files/going insane would make it work for me, until I went to VC6.0

See if you can get a version compiled under vc5.0 or get vc6.0...

That makes sense that it would be a different version of vc++... Or at least a different compiler made the .lib and screwed around with some of the core code order that said to seek to the 960337548th byte in the file... In other words, the old vc++ thinks that this newer build is telling it that it''s reading a file that''s 960+ megs in size. Sure, it''s possible, but not very probable. That''s what you get for mixing versions, I guess... Hey, it''s like inbreeding! Ahh!!!!!
