How does one display Run length encoded BMP''s in WIN32. (i know how to display regular BMP''s).. in case it matters, i am looking to Blt them to a printer device context. and i am looking to use either 4 or 8 bit RLE. (whichever is easier). ThanX, RanXacT

You can''t display them normally. You have to load them into a normal device context (Or DirectDrawSurface, or temporary standard BMP file, or whatever), drawing them there in extracted, standard form. THEN you draw from that.

It''s the only way I know of. It''s garaunteed to be faster than an RLE-Blit algorithm of any sort...
RIP GameDev.net: launched 2 unusably-broken forum engines in as many years, and now has ceased operating as a forum at all, happy to remain naught but an advertising platform with an attached social media presense, headed by a staff who by their own admission have no idea what their userbase wants or expects. Here's to the good times; shame they exist in the past.
