Have you defined D3D_OVERLOADS before doing the including?
You won''t get the C++ extension until you define it.

Tutorials are fine, but look in the ''real'' help sometimes.
The DirectX SDK says under "D3DVECTOR Constructors [C++]":
quote:

The D3D_OVERLOADS constructors for the D3DVECTOR structure offer a convenient way for C++ programmers to create vectors.

I know it''s sometimes too much, but try to look into the SDK sometimes while you are doing the tutorial. It helps in the long run because you familiarize yourself with the help and sometimes you find interesting pieces of information.
