I was guessing the mystery word was hard drive, but I guess I lose.
Chess is played by three people. Two people play the game; the third provides moral support for the pawns. The object of the game is to kill your opponent by flinging captured pieces at his head. Since the only piece that can be killed is a pawn, the two armies agree to meet in a pawn-infested area (or even a pawn shop) and kill as many pawns as possible in the crossfire. If the game goes on for an hour, one player may legally attempt to gouge out the other

Seeing as how Programmer One is the dictionary admin, I figured the mystery word would be vocabulary, so I lose too.

I have a 17" LCD.

Home: 19" Iiyama CRT
Work: 21" Dell Trinitron CRT, 18" NEC LCD

I'm tempted to buy a 20" LCD for home but they're still a little pricey. You don't seem to be able to get LCDs with 1600x1200 resolution that are less than 20" and lower resolutions are pretty unusable except as a secondary display. I'd use a higher res on my CRT but sadly a lot of apps still don't handle higher than default DPIs properly so it's doesn't work too well (standard fonts get tricky to read at higher resolutions on a 19" screen).

Two 15" CRT monitors on my primary machine, and another 15" CRT on my secondary. When one of them dies, I'll be getting a 17" CRT. I hate LCD with a passion and won't go near the things.

I need new monitors.

Of course, I DO have 3 computers set up in here.

What I really need are cooler monitors. It gets friggin hot in here late night, after they've been all been on all day, consistently.
