Hey all, now - I know I''ve done this before, but I can''t remember what I did to fix it! In Andre LaMothe''s book, his says to alias the ddsd.lpSurface and ddsd.lPitch members like this:

int mempitch = ddsd.lPitch;
UCHAR *video_buffer = ddsd.lpSurface;

But I get an error saying it can''t convert from void * to unsigned char *. Huh?? I looked for my old source code to find out what I did last time but couldn''t find it. I know it''s some dumb mistake I made but I can''t remeber what! Any help?? ============================== \\// live long and prosper; \||/ die short and rot. ==============================

Just a small correction, should be
UCHAR *video_mem = (UCHAR *)ddsd.lpSurface;

You know, I never wanted to be a programmer...

Ahhhh... but of course..... Now see, I can pay you a hundred dollars - but I won''t. That would be unfair. I''ll just have to say thank you very much. (I think the headache''s starting to go away now...)
