I''m looking for a good way to draw multi-formatted text strings on DirectDraw surfaces. Text that breaks correctly inside a RECT, supports multiple fonts faces, sizes and colors in one string. Antialiasing-support is a must. Someone suggested I use MS'' HTML renderer, but I assume there are better solutions. Any suggestions?

You could simply use the windows textformatting functions... just do a GetDC on the DD surface and use the DC for the windows rendering functions... This method might be slow... but at least it works... and if you want it to be any faster... just code your own functions with c/c++ combined with inline ASM. Ha ha, I do not think that you are willing to put so much time in it though.

I sure hope this helps, Dark
