Again this was not a BUG adobe did it in there infinate wisdom, not understanding many people were happy with the old method...
btw i also noticed upgrading to 7.1 is ment to revert it back to the old style.
Another dumb ass thing they did
is to remove the RGB channel data from the tga file where stuff is transparent
looks like they got it now - we don't want their crap 'improvements'

Yes, photoshop 7 wont save TGA alpha layer until you patch it with the fix on their website.

wow. almost makes me appreciate the GIMP over Photoshop for a minute :-)
