Nes, where are you? The GDTalker's been down for about 3 (almost 4) hours. Did the hard drive get corrupted or something? Edited by - ghem4 on 10/4/00 4:38:40 PM

It's been 24 hours from my last post and the server's down again.

I think nes's computer has a grudge against him
It won't stay connected to the internet until he gets home from school

Here''s whats going on kids. The talker is down due to server problems. Don''t worry though. Expect a new NEW version of the talker up soon. btw, we''re gonna need secondary servers. The talker has multi-server support now! I had to rewrite it to do this. Anyhoo, I will be releasing the source to the current talker soon.

The documentation for the SDK is comming fast. I''m about half way through it now.

You should be able to use it with borland. There''s nothing about it that''s dependant on MSVC. Just link you program with GDTalkerSDK.lib, include GDTalker.h, and you should be able to use it. As for some of the instructions regarding VC++''s include directories, just use borland''s instead.

Nes, how long do you think it''s going to take to get the new talker up? If it''s going to be a while, you may want to put the old one back up in the meantime.

If some people want to experiment with the SDK once the docs are done (I''m this -> <- close ), it''ll be kind of frustrating to have to wait.

Sorry kids. It will be down. I don''t want to restart the talker and then notice that it''s down again. Then after that I''ll restart it again and have to take it down. For now, I''m going to leave it down because the next time that I''m running, I''m not going to want to restart it for at least a week. Until then, drink lots of coke. (Should be only another day.)

I assume the Captured Reality page is gonna be hosted on this server too? (Seeing as there''s no link in your siggy.)
