Sometimes when I turn my main system, one (although it could be both) of the heatsink fans sounds like it's "revving"(sp?) up. It doesn't happen all the time, just some of the time, and if I shut the system down, and reboot it; it goes away. Could the fan be going out already, I just built it in March.

Could you specify which fan it is? I had the NB fan go wierd on me on an Abit NF7-S (quite common, apparently). It happened pretty soon after I had built the computer. It's not a big deal to replace it, just do a bit of research on your mobo before buying a replacement (preferably third party). Don't jump to conclusions though, it could just be vibrations, considering that it only happens sometimes.

Sure, I can try. I think it's the fan that sits on top of the heatsink and plugs into the MB. Is that what you meant?

What do you mean by reving? Does the fan sound like its not maintaining it speed? What RPM does the BIOS indicate? Is the RPM steady?

Replacement fans are cheap enough that I would just replace it instead of taking a chance of frying the CPU.

The first one about 3750 RPM, the second about 4017 RPM. Reving is the only way I can describe the sound it makes, just really loud for a few mins then it goes back to normal.
