While we are looking for people experienced with the Torque Game Engine to help with design designing a demo for an FPS, in joining Niaterra, you aren't signing up to simply "help make a game". In Niaterra you will join a collaboration of artists and creative technical talent from around the world, a team of people committed to creating innovative, groundbreaking products. We communicate via email, mailing lists, forums, and Voice chat(the last, at least once each week, so we ask that you bring a microphone). The details of the game are confidential. As policy, we do not talk about projects in development until the details are public information. What we can tell you is that we're working on an innovative first-person shooter game. We have a Design Document and story boards, as well as other concept art. We're currently using the Torque Game Engine to create the demo for the currect project, so familiarity with the engine is prefered, but not required. Level Designers must be skilled in using level editing software, preferably QuArK, but if you use other software that doesn't require special licensing to use it's maps, that's fine. Modelers experienced in making good looking, low poly, animated characters and objects are preffered, but if you're only "partially" skilled, we may be able to team you with another complimentarily skilled modeler. Programmers who own a Torque Game Engine SDK are preffered at this time, but as we may not always be using Torque, others may apply. At least a comfortable grasp of C++ is required. Pay: To be determined at project end and Credit OR 1 box of Little Debbie individually wrapped snacks of your choice*, whichever is the greater value. *Based on market availability at the time of project end. Niaterra Arts & Entertainment is a collaborative venture that joins several different disciplines: Music, Theatre, Film, and Computer Games. It's a very exciting dynamic that is designed to push everyone beyond their creative limits. The people in Niaterra enjoy working on many different opportunities: some bridging between disciplines, some jumping within the disciplines we currently have. Really, without discloseing screenshots and information about the game you really seem like vaporware. I wish you luck but id highly suggest posting some screenshots and general information about the game, FPS dosent really mean anything. Is it a stealth based game? wacky tons of weapons and constant bad guys chargeing you (aka serious sams style)? Whats the time line? What cool features will it impliment? How much is done allready?
Will it be online? MMO? user servers hosting a dozen or so players? etc.
