Hi there - i'm looking for a hobby that doesn't involve computers. Apart from work, I go swimming, get drunk in a club on a friday night, and fill in the gaps with multiplayer gaming and reading - which is starting to do my nut in to be honest :- So do you guys have any interesting hobbies? I'm looking for something that might be a usefull skill, or something you don't mind telling a girl about for example :) I thought about learning an instrument, but I'm into drum'n'bass, electronica, etc...which generally involve computers! Cheers.

What's that suppose to mean? What girls have to do with your interests? Are you looking for a hobby that makes you look cool?
Swimming, clubbing, reading, gaming, they're all interesting things(although clubbing can't be considered a hobby, but ok). Anyway, just do something that makes you feel good. Have you considered doing sports?
I have many hobbies that wouldn't involve computers if it weren't for the fact that computers can be a big help. Don't feel bad about using your computer!
Here are some of my hobbies:
Piano (I've impressed the ladies with my jazzy piano music. They are considerably less impressed by Final Fantasy music, sadly.)
Gemology (Buy yourself a book or two, a loupe, and some cheapass low-grade stones, and you're good to go. Women like the shiny jewels. So do I. Maybe you can, too!)
Weapon collecting. (I don't think this go over as well with females as the first two hobbies, but swords are cool.)
I also do some strength training and do cardio by riding a stationary bicycle while playing console games. Good fun.
Oh crap, those are all the non computer-centric hobbies that I have... I thought I had more than this! Well, I used to play tennis, bowling, and golf, but I stopped and the only woman I impressed was my mom, so they hardly count. Also, I suck at guitar and harmonica, so I don't count those either.
Hopefully, I've given you a few ideas that don't suck. Good luck and all that.

I'm into DnB, darkstep, techstep and whatever, but I also play the piano for fun. If you want to learn an instrument then try something easy like the piano or guitar. I say "easy" because its easy to find a guitar or piano. Its not necessarily easy to learn. ;)
If you have a car, try taking it apart. I know that computer nerds can relate to car nerds because the way you handle cars and computers are similar in so many ways.
Where do you excel at? Artsy stuff? Sporty stuff? Mathy stuff?
Always remember...you can always diversify your talents ;)

Like everyone else has already mentioned, you should do something you'd enjoy, don't do it because other people do it.
My personal interests outside of game development, and anything computer related (including electronics and radios) are:
-Backcountry skiing & instructing
-military simulations (re:airsoft)
-lifting & running
-photography
-playing with things that explode (re:things you should't do in airsoft)
-selling crack cocaine to minors

Girls don't care about your hobbies, they care about you being reliable (read: money), how you look, and your overall personality.
Agreed, but not necessarily in that order. First, let's just say what you meant and drop reliablility for money. With that clarification, you get something like this:
1: Looks
2: Personality
3: Money
...
?: Hobbies
You might be able to make small talk with your hobbies, but if you don't have one of those three other qualities then you never had a chance to begin with.

I have no idea what kind of women you date, but I've never met a woman who places looks over reliability & personality.
My hobbies are(in order):
Computer Science (programming, learning theory and algorithms, etc etc all of CS)
Reading (Asimov most recently)
Gaming (the PC kind, with friends across the internet {ie no consoles or lans})
I've also been getting into Electical Engineering (hardware design mostly, but I'll probably find the theory interesting too once I get there).
Recently, my gaming has been oriented toward 'old school'[1] games, and I've been playing all the classics from the NES like SMB, Lolo, Zelda, Metroid, Batman and many more.
Not much in the way of conversation relating to any of my hobbies, because really I'm more of an academic kind of guy and I'm not working on 'my awesome game' or anything like that.
[1] Well, almost. I started with something atari, but the NES is old enough now to be 'clasic' I think.

Rock climbing is really cheap where I am, costing only $10NZ to hire shoes and a harness, and you get as long as you want on some very big climbing walls (top ropes).
Hiking is good, but it's not that cheap once you buy some decent clothing/tents/packs/sleeping bags (depending of course on whether or not you want to do winter tramping, or overnight tramping etc). It's also quite hard to organise, and find the time/weather. Still, it's worth it if you can get there.
Rock climbing is my suggestion though.
