Hello. At my school, my friends came up to me with a great idea for a game. It is called Amish Army (Not to be racist or offensive in any way) You take control of a man who which directs your army. Features - Tree's & Rocks & Rivers - Allowing stragetic movements Walls - To keep your workers from escaping & to protect your forces when under seige Farms - To grow crops to sell for money Online - Allowing others to train their armies and fight others Game - The current demo I have out is of a Game Maker, but features some key componets, which I shall give to my friends for approval. From there, I will need artist to work on 8x8 or 16x16 works, ranging from walls, houses, farms, and sprites. The first demo by Blitz will feature singplayer, with the "Controller", yourself, "Amish Army", your warriors, and a " ", to train them. From there, I and maybe others will move on to other componets. Details - I currently need artists experienced with 2d art I currently need programmers proficient with Blitz Basic If you are available to help in any way, please contact me at QuietWarlock@Gmail.com Note: Whether the art will be 8x8 or 16x16 is still to be decided.

If your just an artist, id highly suggest going for C++ insted of blitzbasic, your much more likey to find an experianced C++ programmer then a blitzbasic programmer, C++ also executes much faster and is way more flexable. But good on you for working with gamemaker to make a demo of your art and ideas, but you need to post some links to screenshots to show this off and give more information about the project

So you want to make a game, but you can't program or create graphics? Not to sound cynical but.. good luck

As for the "use C++ instead of BlitzBasic", I don't agree. BlitzBasic syntax is a very similar to C and it has a good IDE and help-section. Plus it has an built-in, easy to use functions with which you can use DirectX stuff. Ideal for beginning game programmers. :)

Meh, always with the "use C++". You'll be able to knock up something in Blitz, C#, Java too. Don't get caught up in language snobbery. Blitz can produce fine games, and by the sounds of it you just want to prove a concept first anyway, props!!!

If you find someone properly interested in helping you out and you're not the developer, you should probably let them pick the language unless you want to pitch in.

I am sorry if I did not specify.

I am able to program in Blitz Basic, and am supporting this language instead of C++, I just noted a Blitz Basic Programmer would be helpful if available. However, I can hold on my own.

As for artist, I am not an artist, and so I need sprites, etc. For the game.
