I know this has probably been asked a million times but... How does one become a moderator? I think that this should be in the FAQ as well.

One becomes a moderator through a nomination by the other moderators at a time when the staff are looking to recruit.

One increases one's chances of being nominated by being an active, helpful, productive member of the community.

You can also increase your chances by mocking Rhino's icon, although he doesn't use the really old one anymore which looked like some sort of space-creature :/.
