I'm wondering if anyone knows how to add an extension to IE/Firefox so that clicking a link in the format: neo://filename Will be sent to a program that is configured to run it. I intend on coding a window in c# to configure the default program.

You could take a look at mozex for mozilla/firefox. It fixes mailto: links and some other stuff not that diffrent from what you are looking for I think.

At least for now I can code it for Firefox...but does anyone know how I can do it for IE?
