It's actually 1st Page 2000, not FrontPage 2000 if you downloaded it from Evrsoft's site. FrontPage is a commercial program by Microsoft. (I mention this because tutorials specifically for one won't necessarily help with the other.)

1st Page 2000 is really intended for use by those who know HTML, as it includes a code editor rather than a WYSIWYG editor. However, it does include several shortcuts for inserting tags and a "tidy" utility, which makes the learning curve less steep than something like Notepad.

The official references for the HTML specifications can be found on the World Wide Web Consortium site. A short intro can be found here.

I used to use HTML Goodies when I was learning, but I believe that many of the more recent articles are written by a new author. The original primers and tutorials by Joe Burns (who has a very easy to read style) are still there though.

I'll put this into Web Development as the Help Wanted forum is intended to help find people for your project.

You may find this section of the Web Dev Forum FAQ of use as it links to several tutorial and information sites to help you building your first webpage.

Have fun with it and drop by here if you need some more help!

PS: I'm hoping that it is actually EvrSoft's 1st Page you downloaded
