) would be GREATLY appricated. I need: -FPS -SPD (is it constant? what # do you get) -And is it just how does it it? Choppy? Way too fast or slow? Thanks to any one who tests it and especialy thanks to everyone here who has helped me so much! [Edited by - Wavesonics on December 7, 2008 6:45:25 PM]

Hey I need some help testing my engine on a wide range of system. If people here would be interested in helping me test please download it here: http://www.talentopoly.com/adam/darkrock/files/BlackEngine.zip Read the READ ME.txt for what I'm looking for. If your interested in the engine it's self check out the little page I set up for it here: http://www.talentopoly.com/adam/darkrock/blackengine.php Any feed back (emailed to me:

oh right lol, spd means speed, its the total distance covered over the time given (1 second).
It's to test my timing scaling so that no matter how many frames your running everyone moves the same rate over 1 second.
Also thx for the system specs that really helps, if everyone could do that too, that would b great.

1.4 GHz Athlon-XP
GeForce 3 Ti 200
Steady fps 61
Steady SPD 3
2.4 GHz Athlon-XP
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
fps 820 - 1630
Steady SPD 3
Huh, looks like vsync is on on the GeForce but not the Radeon (both are full-screen).

in windowed mode...vsync obviously enabled...fps stayed constant at my refresh rate of 85 hz
spd stayed constant at 3 in windowed
very smooth...
i couldnt see the writing in full screen mode because the screen was offset horizontal so far to the left that almost half the render was off the screen

Athlon 64 3400+
GeForce 5500 FX
hmmm .... i only got 6-7 fps inside the little room, and the speed was 3. on the wireframe the fps jumped to 45, the speed stayed at a constant 3. however, i'm pretty certain thats not your fault. i'm gonna go inspect/update the ogl drivers, as the dx ones seem to be fine.
cheers.

Awesome thx for all the feed back so far guys!
Really don't know why the screen would be so horribly off set. Any one else having this problem?

ok vHaB we gotta talk ;)
I'll PM u if u dont mind. Need some more info.

Awesome thx for all the feed back guys, The guys who are getting 0 for spd, no 1 w\ a spd of 0 reported either exsesive speed or slugishness (really u shouldn't b able to move w\ that result) so I really don't know... Maybe i'm over looking something in my spd read out calculation (it is slightly different then the scaling calculation b/c spd is calculated once a second and the actual calculation is done per frame) Either way I think it's time to move onto collision detection! Fun Fun! oh my poor brain...
Again thxs for testing and answering all my stupid question over and over everyone!
