Howdy all! This is what I'm trying to figure out how to do (or if it is even possible) I'm working with a small development group on a MFC application. What they would like to have is a core application that is a bare-bone system, but allow it to load dll plugins. These plugins could alter most of the interface features ( adding / removing toolbars, menu changes and docking dialog bars (from a dll resource) ) I've looked for information on this subject but always come up lacking. I have no problem what so ever loading dlls, but I lack in understanding if it is even possible to tie a mfc dll into an application and have them interact successfully. Any suggestions? Thanks! Yep, completely possible. Microsoft developed a system some years ago called COM.

I've never personally fiddled with COM besides using parts of DirectX; I didn't know it was designed to expand applications in such a way.

Thanks for the info!
