For the levels in my game I merely need to be able to place boxes and output some simplified info such as something like the following: <POSITION; DIMENSIONs; horizontal angle; verticle angle> where POSITION represents the geometric center of the box. So for example if my level had 3 boxes, the file format might look something like <(0,0,20); (10,5,5); 45; 0> <(8,4,4); (2,21); 0; 0> <(7,2,1); (3,1,1); 90; 0> I am having the hardest time figuring out how to do this in maxscript however. The following are basically some things I need to figure out and if anybody could offer advice on any of these it would surely be appreciated. 1) how to transverse through all the objects in the scene in something like a for loop 2) how to access the center and dimensions of the current object selected (it can be assumed all objects will be boxes) 3) and if possible, how to get in some form the current rotation of the matrix (a rotation matrix would work) Any help would be greatly appreciated, but I understand this is a pretty obscure topic.
