Hello all, I am new to this site and very eager to learn. I am currently in a computer graphics course learning some basics on computer graphics and introducing ourselves to openGL and directx. I have a question about model-view matrcies that I can't figure out and was wondering if anyone can help me out. --Consider a satellite rotating around the earth. Its position above the earth is specified in polar coordinates. Find a model-view matrix that keeps the viewer looking at the earth. Such a matrix could be used to show the earth as it rotates. I understand that is probably a basic question for most of you, however, I am stumped, could anyone help shed some light on this? Thank You!

Homework question? Homework questions are big no-no's on this forum, JIK it is.

Until I find out, my lips are sealed. Not that I know anyway, but still...sealed.

I am new member and have already gotten critized for posting this question in another forum b/c I wasn't sure which forum was appropriate. I also have been critizied for posting a hw question, and this is not the case. I bought this Computer Graphic book for my own self help, and puttogeter a review for myself, and can't seem to figure this out. Thanks for your responses, however.

Posting same message in several forums and with different titles it's even bigger no-no than just posting same thing in different forums. And if it's homework question, it's even worse.
You wasn't critized enough *yet*. Stop crossposting.

Sorta conflicts with "I'm currently in...". I'll give you a hint though. The Earth is the model and the the view is from the satellite.
