I am working on a commercial project from home. In desire that when it will be finished ... I will buy a new PC with powerful features from the money I earned through it. My Mother Board got f****d up two days ago. I had to buy a new one. It cost me about $60. Now when I ran the application that I created with the previous MB ... it looks like a piece of crap. Not only that ... all the games look like a piece of crap. The built in AGP card is "S3 Graphics Pro Savage DDR". Its a total piece of crap cause I am using DX9 :(. The MB supports 1x, 2x and 4x. If any one can give me an idea to tweak around with this crap or another AGP card that does not cost more than $100 and can be used for DX9 stuff. I am totally out of money but I will have to arrange some one way or another to get myself back on the working trak to complete this app. Can any one help me out :( ?

Are you doing DX9 graphics that require the video card to support all the features of DX9? If so, you might have a hard time getting one for less than $100. However, if you just need a card that is good and can be used with DX9 apps that don't require full hardware support, you should be able to find something easily. And let's face it, anything will beat that built in piece of crap. Look at the low end NVidia and ATI cards. I'm currently running a Radeon 9200 in my laptop and an GeForce 4 Ti in my desktop and they do pretty well with games, as long as there isn't a lot of advanced shader stuff and DX9 specific implementations.

The Nvidia Geforce 6200 should be coming out soon... it's probably ideal for your situation as it's cheap/slow but fairly full featured(DX9)

I do not necessarily need a card that supports shaders or the DX features. I only need a simple card. Hell ... the one I have got doesnt even support D3DXSprite. I made my game totally on that. It seems that it cannot handle big textures. I am totally screwed right now.

I have seen 5200 ... but it does some really wiered errors right after an hour :(
