~standard~ setup??

What do you guys consider as a "standard" setup for a machine...pc and mac? for instance...my pc is a P3-450,64megs, 16meg TNT2. My mac is a PowerMac 6500, 96megs , ati... I would consider those *minimum* What do you think? -Coleco

i have a celeron433, and i consider that average.
i saw on a poll on a site a while back that about 25% of people had 400-500 mhz processors, and that was the largest group of people.
so go figure

i think a p300 is minimum with an 8mb vid card and 64mb ram is minimum

standard is a pII 450 with a 16mb vid card and 64mb ram

deluxe is a P3 1ghz with 512mb ram and a 128mb voodoo5

The minimum specs should be based on your target audience.

I myself have a Celereon 300 and a TNT1. I have no plans for upgrading anytime soon.

well, guess im one of the few people that can give you a standard mac setup here....

I would say that the B&W G3 300MHz with 128 Megs of RAM is your ideal bottom line...but the late Beige''s with 3rd party gfx controllers are also good. OS X requires a G3...

Yeah, their standard PC setups are fine
