You gotta love them excess calories! I think they are putting a Taco bell up like right in front of our school, not sure though, thats just what people have been saying, there are tracktors and people out there all day claering/leveling the land and putting in sewage stuff, I really hope that is a Taco Bell.

Taco Del Mar is better. A local burrito place is even better, but I'm not sure if a five minute wait counts as fast food or not.

Anyone ever been to Pancheros? They are sort of like the uber-Subway of mexican food. Dear god, they make the best burritos in the world there. You are incomplete as a human until you've had one. After I had eaten mine, it sat in my belly, sweetly caressing the walls of my stomach for hours! It was such a satisfying meal. I long for another one of their burritos, but alas! I know longer live in a state where they are located.

So have any of you had any real mexican food? I'm not knocking Taco Bell or anything. I love the place myself. Great food. I just wonder how many of you non-socal people have had mexican food? It seems like a rare anomoly on the east coast according to some people I've spoken to.

Being from Texas, I can say that I have indeed experienced actual mexican food [grin]

I've had "real" Mexican food before, and I'm in an east coast state (I'm not actually very near to the coast, though, if you're looking to stalk me). It's obviously a completely different thing from Taco Bell. Taco Bell has as much/more flavor and is definitely good, but real Mexican food tastes more like... real food. Like, the kind you'd actually eat during real meals.

La Bambas all the way. I think they are a local chain. Man, they make the meanest taco EVER!. They also advertise a burrito "as big as your head," and, let me tell you, they don't lie about its size (and tatse! yum...). I may go there today.
