It seems I keep stumling over the same forum design in different locations on the web. Is there some sort of free commercial code for forums. Im asking cause I ned one in php and mysql and Im wondering wether or not Im gonna have to reinvent the wheel or I can use some standard code and save time. -CProgrammer

What features are you looking for? A lot of forums make use of the same features that make up a forum. I would do a google search for php (or whatever you want to use) and the features you're looking for. phpbb is a popular option.

I dont need many feature more or less the standard. Users login and can make threads and post answers. Each post contains name, date and time. Images should be suported. Thats it.

I second phpBB. Thats what I use, and I haven't had any problems with it at all. I've even modified the source to get some extra features out of it.

I used phpBB for a while aswell. I no longer need a forum, so I ditched. It's pretty simple to setup and use.
