Hi, I am currently looking for a way of playing back .mp3 files in my java application. So far, I have tried "JavaLayer" -- if you don't know it, you might try to google for it, but in my opinion, you can save you time and trouble by not trying it --- I simply hate it. Why? Because it sometimes "ripps off" the last few seconds (or milliseconds) of my mp3-files... So, I am looking for alternatives... Do you know any?? I am also checking if I can simply use FMod and write some kind of JNI wrapper for it... Do you guys have any experience with that? Would that work? Thanks for the help!! Beren

There is a FMod binding to Java...check out www.fmod.org the downloads page. I downloaded and installed FMod and the Java bindings and got it working in less than a half hour on windows.
