HELP conFiguRing thiS pC !!

i need a desktop comp..my budget is tight and all branded desktop (deLL, hp, etc) cost much but the price isnt suitable for the specification.. my budget is around U$600-700 incl a monitor it doesnt have to LOOK FANCY or COOL and i dont use it to pLay game i will onLy use it to access the internet and watch film... (all in US doLLar) MOTHERBOARD: 915G Combo-FR (u$110.00) CPU : Pentium 4 520 Prescott 2.8GHz 800MHz Socket 775 Processor w/Fan and Heatsink Prescott LGA 775 1MB L2 Cache 90nm (u$159) Memory : im thinkin at least 512Mb (any idea wat specific type or brand shouLd i get?) Video card : (need heLp i have no cLue..brand, type) Hard drive : 80GB 7200rPm(suggestion specific tyPe and brand) dVd pLayer : (any suggestion for brand??) cd rW : (any suggestion for brand??) that's all i can come up with.. i dont want to start orderin and get into trouble since the components dont match each other..so can anybody please help meee !!!! thanXxX for everythin..appreciate d heLp... This onLy accentuates the point of how badLy he needs a new PC. His keyboard is obviousLy degenerating into muLtipLe spontaneous quantum states!

How exactly does one "steam the internet"?

EDIT: Seriously though, if you have no idea what to get just roll into a PC shop and ask for a system to spec (say "something that'll run Doom3" and you'll get a nice box). The people usually are quite helpful. Just ask!

The English is just weird because you capitalise the letter "l" at random. [wink]
I have a 2 year old PC; Pentium 4 2.4GHz, 512MB RAM, 80GB storage (2 40GB drives), and an ATi Radeon 9000 64MB. That runs Unreal Tournament 2K4 (well, the demo) at 1280x1024 at maximum detail perfectly smoothly.

English, Spanish, German, French, Dutch, Arabic, Russian, Hebrew, Japanese, Klingon... these are the languages that the members of this forum can communicate in. Notice that Newbimoron is not in that list. Please translate your post to one of the aforementioned languages and we will be all too willing to help.

i figured that if i purchase a branded comPuter
the specification isnt suitabLe with the price
i have to pay..

The thing that confuses me is he's made a grand total of 2 posts yet has a rating breaking over 1000. Weird. I thought it took a while until people started rating up...

I didn't say branded: PC shops (at least here in the UK) can knock together parts for you if you give them the spec and the price. Nice and cheap.

Your structure is far too AOL kiddy regular for someone whose native language is not english. But if this is the case, try posting in your native language. I'm sure at least babelfish will make some sense of it.
