I have a CGI C++ application that I believe is timing out. Is there anyway I can make it so that it doesn't? Thanks,

Yes. Move it to /dev/null where it can run in a development sandbox that protects it from any common errors such as timeouts, buffer overruns, general failures, erronous input, etcetera.

I don't think that's an option because of my access rights, how does that work anyways?

I'll take that as a compliment....

Asking things like this is a bit like asking "I made a game and it crashes my PC. What's wrong?". Try reading this and ask again.

So do you actually know how I can get the timeout increased or are you just wasting my time?

I skimmed that document you linked to me, so I suggest you read this:

Well.... unless you can post a linky to your CGI app, a better description of the problem at hand, maybe eve some source code of the part that you think is casuing the timeout, etcetera.... Yes. This is basically a waste of time.

Problem fixed. I e-mailed the admin and he configured apache to extend the time out. Did you read the link? I thought it was clever sending you that, heh. Its all in good fun.
