Strange computer problems

My computer crashed when I was playing Vampire: Bloodlines (I haven't gotten to play it for more than 10 minutes yet, because of said problems) and ever since then things have been going awry. I checked the event viewer and found these 4 error messages occuring during boot:
Quote:
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: viaagp1 The Win32 Usb Driver service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified. The mrtRate service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified. The description for Event ID ( 9 ) in Source ( a347scsi ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: \Device\Scsi\a347scsi1.
Any help? Do I have to do a full reinstall? Say it ain't so.

I assume it still boots up, since you're on here. Have you tried searching Windows and ActiVision's sites?

You can at least try getting a new copy of the usb driver...

How would I get a new copy of the USB driver?

I have an nForce2 chipset if that helps. By the way, the front USB ports haven't worked for a while, pre sp2 in fact.

Anyway, viaagp1 shouldn't be loading at all, any way I can stop this?

Plus, I found out what was causing all the hanging to begin with. I guess SP2 hates it when you leave a virtual CD-ROM drive mounted with an image when you reboot or shut off the computer. Go figure.

I like Daemon Tools better than Alcohol 120% as it is, since it's a lot more compact and cleaner it seems.

So, any help would be much appreciated.

Oh, and I worked out everything but the viaagp1 and USB problems, just to make that clear.

EDIT - Plus, what the hell happened with my rating? Not that I care but, it is quite noticeable. Methinks a staffer or mod hates me. [wink]
