I think that''s a good idea. But one thing I''ve found is that it is always easier to learn in a class (unless your teacher is the kind that doesn''t understand what he is saying). I can identify with what you are going to. In my university (in Nigeria) studying ANYTHING can be frustrating espcially when YOU REALLY WANT TO LEARN. But like has been said over and over again, learning to deal with frustrating situations is a very important part of life.
Another advantage to me was that every now and then I would just stumble across something in class (when I attend) which I find unbelievably useful but which is the kind of thing I might have gone years without finding out. Granted such situations are few but I now believe that there are some things which if you don''t learn in school you may never learn. Simply because you will never think of asking. (e.g. A software design course I took last semester has totally changed the way I view programming in groups!!)
Wish you all the best!!
Illusion is meaningless, unless it affects reality.
