Can anyone confirm this:
I dont think it is steam that is causeing HL2 not to start... I disconnected my internet and went into "offline mode" and tryed to play HL2 and it didnt work! Whats going on!!! or did they purposely disable the game?

It doesn't work for me either. Looking at the Task Manager, hl2.exe is started, it gets the CD spinning, and then it just quits abruptly and silently. God I hate Steam. I was playing the game literally two minutes ago, but I exited to check something online, and when I tried playing it again, Steam insisted on updating things, which took a long time, and now I can't play it at all. This is idiocy.

HL2DM is awesome, physics gun in multi is great

SDK, hmmm about 40MB of code to go through (2260 files), too much code

I've been waiting for the release of the rest of the animation stuff. I'm downloading it right this moment. Yahoo!

Unless it says u r banned you aren't.

Its just probably horribly slow because of the SDK and HL2DM release.
