For $20/year, you can have plenty of space/bandwidth using telnap's(telnap.com) thanksgiving specials
Free hosting is free for a reason, and that reason isn't that they're run by nicer people than the for-money hosts.

Yeah... Sadly it's really hard to find a decent free webhost. Most webhosts out there have enough space but their bandwith limits are teh suck. If you have more than 3 pictures to put up and you want to hotlink to a place like this you'll run out of bandwith before you know it. There was a really awesome free webhosting company called 2webh.com but sadly they went bankrupt and had to shut down. There is some good inexpensive webhosting out there(such as GDNET+).
I still use 000k2.com . They seem pretty reliable. Of course, eventually they'll die like all other free hosts, but they're fine for now. The only problem is that it's not immediately obvious how to sign up, but you can figure it out.
I used to use Brinkster a lot, still have an account, but i'm not sure if they have free accounts any more.

Just deleted a thread because I simply can't find a decent webhost. Can anyone suggest a proper webhost who would AT LEAST allow hotlinking?! This is a real shame - plus its frustrating!
If you just want image hosting, MSN Groups give you 3MB and hotlinking. If you need HTML documents, find a free host and embed the images from your MSN group.
Crispy: I suggest going here: http://www.000k.com/hostsetup1.php. Haven't tried it m'self, though. Or go to their site and click the orange image that says "Order Service" under the feature list.
I use http://f2g.net/ mainly because it has ftp access and no ads.
