I have a strange problem. I have a collection of games and programs that I have made and I have stuck them all on a CD. What I wanted to do (as I am sure many of you have) was create a html file that gave links to the programs for easy navigation etc. Now the problem I have is that when I run the program from the link, (after clicking ''Run from Location'' and ''Yes'' to it being run), the program is unable to open/read text files and .MIDI files, yet it can open .bmp and .wav files. All the paths within the program are relative (don''t know if that is the problem), and it works fine if you double click on the .exe file itself... Does anyone know what the heck is happening? Or i am just dum? Lee

When you select "run from location", your browser just "downloads" the file to your C:\WINDOWS\TEMP directory instead of prompting you for a more permanent location. So, you current working directory isn''t going to be the correct one with all your data files. I can''t think of any way around this if you want to use your HTML menu.

I finally figured a way around. All I did was create a short cut to the .exe file I wanted to run, thm plen pointed the link from the .htm file to the shortcut. Now it works hunky-dorey
