You''re right Graylien, something like that.
There''s no reason firahs (and me, and probably several others) should have to change our browser settings because of one person''s ridiculous signature.

i know. i didn''t mean that this is the way to get rid o capn_midnight''s sig. i was just telling him how to avoid that annoying error message. and i always have that stupid scipt debugging disabled.
and this morning i thought i was the only one who was having trouble with captain''s sig since noone else ever mentioned the error in there...

dammit, I really need to learn DHTML for NN. All I know is IE5.
He site works fine if you are using IE5, I don''t know why it doesn''t quite work right if it''s in the page. Even though it throws the error, everything still runs properly. I''ll take it down. I just like putting stuff in my sig and seeing how long it takes firahs to complain.

As a rule, anything more complicated than a hyperlink does not belong in a signature. Images are borderline but okay as long as they aren''t big, DHTML is over the edge. The browser issues with DHTML are just too much to mention.

Sounds like a good rule to me
I''m okay with images, as long as they are small (firahs'' is a good example). Even some text sigs are getting out of control. When your sig starts taking up more room than the body of your posts, it''s time to do some trimming (hey... maybe I should limit how long that field can be...)

Don''t worry, I took it out. Is CSS okay though? Any browser that doesn''t use it will just ignore it and the sig will look normal.
