In the three or so months I''ve been here, I haven''t seen LF attack a person''s ideas. You may have prior history I''m unaware of. But in my view, LF (strongly) states his view, and folks challenge it or not. That''s what I''ve done on many occassions.

Do you realize how whiney and lame this sounds? Again, if you disagree with his ideas (as I have a number of times) the mature thing to do is to challenge his points! Personal attacks only make you look bad and get threads (like the one you referenced) closed.

Somebody just broke loose from the Get A Life Hospital again.

Plate armor protects better than cloth armor. It''s a fact, get used to it.

Personally, if you have a view and LF opposes it, then he states his reasons for opposing it. It is better than some people who just say ''That idea is crap''. I know of others who oppose my ideas a lot, just like LF has before (MKV included, FE...) but they always do so constructively.

I don''t care if people oppose any ideas, I have opposed LF on some finer points, but I always like the reasoning. Without opposition there is no discussion. If there was no discussion then there are no ideas. Without ideas we are stuck with the same crap that we have always had. For these reasons and more I support LF, even if he opposes this message, because he will still have good reason (unless he now decides to change his mind about reasoning ).

Now can we get back on topic? Ignore any flame bait from now on

Realism in games? Well, I say model your rules system loosly around the real world... But don''t get too close. Just make it enough to be a challenge to the player and have a bit of fun with it. Make sure there are no inconsistencies. Consistency is one of the main immersion factors
